- Or a piece of string or ribbon
- A ruler

Step-by-Step: How to Measure Your Neck

Stand naturally
Keep your head straight and your shoulders relaxed. -
Wrap the measuring tape around your neck
Place it around the base of your neck. The tape should rest comfortably against your skin without squeezing. -
Read the measurement
Note the number in centimetres where the tape meets. This is your neck circumference. - Add extra length for comfort

- Add 2–5 cm for a comfortable necklace fit
- Add 1–2 cm for a choker, depending on how close you want it to sit
Example:
My neck base measurement is 41 cm, and a 43 cm necklace is a snuggy choker (in the picture). If I want the necklace to lie on my collarbones, I take the one that is 5 cm longer, so 46 cm.

The exact overall length is always listed in the product dropdown. All extra or custom sizes are made at no additional cost, from 35 to 50 cm.
