Earcuffs: a versatile jewellery trend

Earcuffs: a versatile jewellery trend

Earcuffs offer versatility and a modern edge to any look. They are timeless,

To help you get the perfect fit, here’s a guide on selecting the right side and measuring your ear.

Measuring Your Ear for the Perfect Fit

made from steel wire, which ensures a comfortable fit. But it's always better to measure your ear, to just be sure.

1. Find the Right Spot

Decide where you want the earcuff to sit. The middle section of the ear, just above the lobe, is the most common spot. SNSS earcuffs are specifically designed for this area.

2. Measure Your Ear’s Circumference

  • Using a Flexible Measuring Tape: Wrap the tape around the part of your ear where the cuff will sit and note the measurement in centimetres.
  • Using String or Thread: If you don’t have a measuring tape, wrap a piece of string around the desired spot. Mark the length, then measure it against a ruler.

3. Understand the Measurements

SNSS earcuffs come in a default size of 4 cm, with an added 0.5 cm for proper bending and comfort. Here’s a quick reference:

  • Small ear: ∼ 3 cm
  • Medium ear: ∼ 4 cm
  • Large ear: ∼ 5 cm

If your ear size is different, choose a custom size in the cart and add your measurement in the text field at checkout.

Custom sizes are available at no additional cost!

How to Wear Your Earcuff

SNSS earcuffs are crafted from bendable stainless steel wire, allowing you to adjust them to your ear's shape.

But, if you are new to wearing earcuff, you will need to learn, how to put it in place.

To do so, proceed:

  • Hold the earcuff with both hands, gripping each end for control.
  • Feel the cartilage where the cuff will sit. Place one end of the earcuff inside the cartilage and the other behind it.
  • Squeeze both ends, pushing the ends toward the ear, until the earcuff fits snugly.
  • Once it’s positioned, use one hand to compress the cuff slightly so both ends touch your earlobe. You can even feel a bit of pain in the earlobe. This ensures a secure fit, as the steel wire will naturally relax a bit.
  • If the cuff doesn’t sit properly, remove it and adjust its shape to better fit your ear. This may take a few tries, and it’s okay to ask someone for help if needed.

If you still experience issues, feel free to reach out for assistance or request an exchange for a different size—even a custom one!

Earcuff Care

To keep your earcuff looking great, follow these tips:

  • Avoid spraying it with perfume or hairspray.
  • Keep it away from sea or pool water.
  • Be cautious when wearing hats, scarves, or turtlenecks, as they can dislodge the cuff. Always check it when you change your top.
